Welcome to Fav’d For Later, a Friday Saturday roundup of our favorite memes, trends, and all-around good internet content. This week, our usual correspondent Megan Farokhmanesh is on a much-needed vacation. Tech reporter Dami Lee and internet culture editor Devon Maloney will be stepping in to completely ruin what she’s got going here, starting with arriving a day later than usual. Sorry, Megan.

If you’re on Twitter and are a fan of Tessa Thompson, you may be familiar with @tessasgoats, the Twitter account that does exactly what it says on the label: pair photos of Thompson with photos of goats wearing similar outfits, hair colors, and the like. It would have been like any other celebrities-as-animals account, except it somehow made its way to Thompson herself, who fell in love with it and now frequently retweets the best ones.

The meme leveled up last week: for Thompson’s birthday — which is October 3, AKA Mean Girls Day, AKA Presidential Alert Day this year — her partner Janelle Monáe recorded and released “Dance Like a G.O.A.T,” a perfect two-and-a-half-minute funk song that intersperses a cut of Thompson dancing in a perfect shirt and black tie with clips of actual baby goats, hop-dancing and wagging their perfect little tails. Looks like Monáe and Thompson released it to the public last Friday, but as I am just now seeing it and am also drunk with power, I’m including it here. Behold its therapeutic powers, let them wash over you — and be sure to watch to the end. (h/t Jane Coaston, Vox’s senior politics reporter, for the head’s up):

Speaking of farm animals, there was a lot of horse discourse on the internet this week, as Liam Neeson revealed to PageSix that a horse he worked with on the set of his new film actually recognized him from the set of another movie. “You won’t believe it. I’m saying this horse knew me,” Neeson said. “He whinnied when he saw me. And pawed the ground.”

This bit of bizarre news, combined with dozens of aggregated headlines that can all basically be distilled to “Horse remembers Liam Neeson,” birthed the Twitter jokes that were the shining light of my entire week.

There you have it folks, straight from the horse’s mouth.

Since we’re on a nature kick this week, why not also show you this perfect furry son? Proof both that the squeaky wheel gets the grease (or snack), and that it’s not just kittens out here saying “yum yum”:

And finally, a quick update from last week’s events: it appears that after the heist, Kermit has taken his money and gone on vacation.
