According to change experts Coinhunter, there are 63 different designs for the iconic £2.
Around 37 of them are in circulation and can even be found in your spare change.
But one version in particular could see you net a tidy profit.
The XVII 2002 Commonwealth Games £2 coins were created to mark the seventeenth games, hosted in Manchester.
And the Northern Ireland version, of which there are 485,500 in circulation, has sold for up to £49.
There has also been a final bid of £48.68 for the rare coin registered on the popular online site.
It usually sells for around £35 on eBay based on recent months.
In terms of the England and Scotland editions, there are 650,500 and 771,750 copies in circulation.

Although less coveted, these can sell for around £28 to £8 on eBay respectively.
Each coin features the same base design of a runner with a flag but each contains the flag of their country.
Unfortunately for coin hunters, the other 26 designs for £2 coins were issued as “commemorative coins”.
This means they were not put into circulation so will sadly not appear in a random coat pocket.
