It’s not a Macbook Prime Day deal – but is it a saving of up to £170.

That top discount is available on the Macbook Pro 13-inch with a 1TB solid state drive – bringing the price down to £1,829 from £1,999.
There are discounts for slightly different models too, albeit smaller savings, but the prices are still noticeably better than the RRP.
While the top model has £170 off, the Macbook Pro 13-inch with 512GB drive has a saving of £112.50, down to £1,386.50 from £1,499.
Meanwhile the 256GB drive model has a saving of £50, down to £1,249 from £1,299.

According to price tracking site Camelcamelcamel, the 1TB model has consistently been at £1,829 on Amazon since August.
But it is still a good saving, as earlier this year it was being sold for £2,000.
As the latest model it features Apple’s brilliant Retina display, Magic Keyboard, Touch Bar and Touch ID – so the £170 saving isn’t to be sniffed at.
Neither are the smaller discounts on the less expensive, lower capacity, models.

The Macbook discounts aren’t part of any Prime Day offer, so you don’t need to be an Amazon Prime subscriber.
But if you do want to sign up to take advantage you can get a 30-day free trial.
You’ll then have until 23:59 on Wednesday, October 14 to get your fill of Prime Day deals.
If it is just a Macbook you’re after, we can’t find any variant of the Macbook Pro 13-inch cheaper anywhere else.
