VIRGIN Media customers may notice seven bonus channels available for free on their telly box this month.

And it comes right in time for the October half term.

The firm is giving subscribers access to its kids channels at no extra cost for all of October.

This includes Sky Kids, Cartoon Network, Boomerang, Cartoonito, Nickelodeon, Nick Jr and Nicktoons.

Popular shows range from Pip and Posy Let’s Learn and Monster High 2, to PAW Patrol – Jungle Pups and Teen Titans Go!.

Many shows from the channels are also available on demand.

The suite of children’s TV channels – part of the the Kids TV Pick – usually cost £5 per month to subscribe to.

Customers don’t have to do anything to receive the channels.

They will instantly be available today from number 704 and up.

“With half-term just around the corner, and lots of households feeling the pinch, we’re giving families a helping hand to stay entertained this October with a host of premium kids and teen TV channels available at no extra cost,” said David Bouchier, Chief TV & Entertainment Officer at Virgin Media O2.

The channels will be available until 6am on October 31.

If you’re looking for more free TV don’t forget Virgin Media recently gained more than 100 extra channels.

Over the summer, the broadcasting giant added access to Pluto TV.
