ALDI shoppers on their post-Christmas food run will need to check the opening times ahead of hitting the aisles.

The hours that supermarkets open and close over the holiday period will be different from the opening times shoppers are familiar with.

Aldi customers will find the trading hours of their favourite store changing slightly from December 24 until the beginning of January.

There may also be variations from branch to branch so you can check your nearest store times using the locator tool.

Here are Aldi’s opening times during the festive period, including the bank holiday today, December 28:

What were Aldi’s opening hours for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day?

Most Aldi stores ran reduced hours on December 24, opening 8am to 6pm so workers could get home in time to relax before the big day.

Aldi then closed across the UK on December 25.

What are Aldi’s opening hours after Christmas until New Year?

The discounter remained closed on Boxing Day so employees could continue enjoying time with their families.

There are then shortened hours on December 27, December 28 and December 30 where shops will be open from 8am to 8pm.

What is Aldi’s opening hours over New Year?

Most Aldi shops will open 8am to 6pm on New Year’s Eve, before staying closed on New Year’s Day.

On Saturday January 2, stores will be running on reduced hours of 8am to 10pm.

Normal shopping hours will resume on January 3.
