Aldi’s wine advent is always a sell-out and cost under £50

Aldi’s wine advent calendar is so popular that it’s sold out in previous years.

The calendar contains a miniature bottle of booze behind each of the 24 doors and includes red, white, rosé or sparkling wine.

Each bottle is 187.5ml or 200ml for the sparkling wine.

We’ve asked which wines are in the calendar and we’ll update when we hear back.

It costs £49.99, which works out as just over £2 per bottle.

It’s the cheapest wine advent we’ve seen, with wine seller Laithwaite’s coming in at £69.99, though you do get a half bottle of family-estate Champagne too.

Aldi is known for its bargain wines and its cheapest full-size bottle comes in at just £2.99.

So the advent calendar might be a more expensive way to buy wine, but it comes with a more festive feel many people will enjoy.

The advent calendar is available to buy online from Aldi and in store from 1 November.

Aldi has had to limit the number of calendars people can buy in previous years because they’ve been so popular, so you might want to get in quick.

And this year for the first time Aldi is selling a second advent calendar for anyone who loves a bit of fizz.

The prosecco and sparkling wine advent calendar contains 24 bottles of fizz behind each door, including traditional prosecco, Italian rose and sparkling Pinot Grigio.

This one also goes on sale online at Aldi and in store on 1 November.

The prosecco-filled calendar is slightly pricier at £59.99 and that works out as £2.50 per bottle.

Again, the advent calendar won’t be the cheapest way to buy sparkles – Aldi’s cheapest full-size bottle f bubbles is £4.79 – but it’s certainly the most festive.

If you’re enjoying a tipple then always be Drinkaware.

You can also go for something non-alcoholic.

Aldi is also selling a £9.99 wooden advent calendar which you can gill yourself with treats.

It comes in three designs – winter scene, rustic Christmas tree and Santa’s sleigh – and is available in stores only from 1 November.

There’s also a Belgian chocolate-filled traditional calendar for £6.99 which is available in store only from the same date.

And your furry friend can countdown the days to Christmas with the meaty treat-filled advent calendar for dogs.

It’s £4.99 and promises a selection of chicken, duck, lamb and turkey flavour treats for your pup.

Meanwhile, Peppa Pig book advent calendars which are available at Aldi are already proving popular with parents.

The kid’s calendar costs £9.99 and has a book behind each of the 24 different windows and there’s a Marvel and Disney version too.

If you’re a wine lover, we’ve got you covered: here are the best wine advent calendars you can buy in 2020.

B&M has brought back its Pringles advent calendar for Christmas 2020 and it comes with 12 pots of crisps.

Christmas is nearly here which means chocolates galore and this year there’s one big theme – choc orange flavours.
