THIS year has already been a great year for big games, with a number of high-profile games getting amazing reviews in the short three months of 2024 so far.

Among those games are Like a Dragon Infinite Wealth and Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, both of which attracted scores of well over 90/100 on Metacritic.

There’s yet another great game on the horizon, though, and although reviews are only just trickling in now, it’s already generating a lot of hype among gamers.

That game is Dragon’s Dogma 2, which is set to be released on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC later this week, and currently has a Metacritic score of 90/100.

While gamers will have to wait a few more days to get their hands on the highly-anticipated game, they can play the first entry in the series while they wait, and there’s no better time than now.

That’s because Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen is currently less than £5 on Nintendo Switch and Steam, and for some PlayStation owners, can even be played for free.

Players on Switch will be able to pick up Dragon’s Dogma for just £4.24, down from a usual price of £24.99, making it almost 85% off and an irresistible bargain for anyone interested in the game.

The price is even better on Steam, where it’s currently selling for just £3.83, which is another 85% off, given it sells for £23.99.

PlayStation owners get an even better deal, as they might not have to pay a single penny to play it — the game is included in PlayStation Plus Extra’s offerings, and can be played in its entirety without paying extra if you’re a subscriber.

Unfortunately, Xbox gamers are left in the dark on this one, as the game remains at full price on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, and isn’t included in Xbox Game Pass.

Players will have to pay the full £20 if they want to play on Xbox, or wait until it goes on sale on the future, which hopefully won’t be too long.

Dragon’s Dogma 2 will be released on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S this Friday, on March 22, 2024.
