THIS sweet cottage is on the market for the first time in 60 years and viewers of a classic sitcom may recognise it.
The pretty property in Turville, Buckinghamshire is better known as the home of Dawn French’s title character Geraldine Granger in BBC hit The Vicar of Dibley.

The Grade II Listed Church Cottage, on sale for £900,000 played host to the lovable vicar from 1994 until 2007.
Turville doubled as the village of Dibley throughout the show’s run and the idyllic cottage sits on the outskirts, surrounded by farms and woodland.
It is accessed through the grounds of St Mary the Virgin church, which served as St Barnabus church in the popular show.
The wider village has been a well used filming location across the years, acting as the setting for scenes in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and Killing Eve, among others.
The house has had one long-term tenant since the early ’60s and this is the first time since then that it has been available to buy.
It has been largely untouched in that time and is now in need of a full renovation.

The property boasts 870 square feet of living space, with a kitchen, sitting room, bathroom, cellar and two double bedrooms.
Both rooms enjoy a view of the Cobstone Windmill, also known as the home of Dick Van Dyke’s character Caractacus Potts in the 1968 classic Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.
Charlie Chavasse, from listing agents Savills, said: “The sale is an opportunity to own a piece of British television history in a village that is no stranger to the spotlight.
“Film crews have been coming here since the 1960s.”

The current owners, who did not wish to be named, said: “It has been very exciting to own a property that has appeared in such a popular sitcom and its connection with the Vicar of Dibley has often proved an interesting talking point among friends and family.”
They also recalled how lovely it was to see the house on the small screen and wishes the new owners happiness in owning the unique piece of British cultural history.
