WRAP up warm – the Beast from the East is coming back, with temperatures set to plunge.

But the last place you want to be feeling the chill is in your bedroom.

Follow my favourite ways to keep cosy in bed for less . . .

LIGHT IT UP: Getting the right lighting in a room can make all the difference.

I’m a fan of the Ferris wood-effect table lamp, on offer at dunelm.com for £6.40, down from £8.

I also like their Moroccan lantern cream table lamp, £12, down from £15.

SAVE: £3 on Moroccan lamp

DESIGNER DUPES: My go-to hack for feeling cosy inside is to light a candle.

It’s surprising how well it works.

#I like Yankee Candle’s spiced orange candle, £8.54 at candlesdirect.com.

But I was pleased to discover Aldi selling an orange spice candle jar for £2.99.

I can barely tell the difference.

SAVE: £5.55

WRAPPED UP: Snuggling up in a blanket will leave you feeling snug for sure.

The navy supersoft throw from wilko.com is just £10 — that’s cheaper than the extra-large blue throw sold at Primark for £12.

Plus, there’s room for further savings at Wilko, with up to 50 per cent off selected throws.

SAVE: £2

HEATING HACKS: There’s been a rise in sales of heated blankets and I can see why.

They’re great but can be expensive.

I found the Status kingsize electric blanket on offer at currys.co.uk for £22.99, reduced from £29.99.

If you are after something smaller, the Silentnight comfort control electric blanket is £22 at very.co.uk, or just £20 on Amazon.

SAVE: £7 at Currys

OLD SCHOOL: Sometimes traditional is best and you can’t knock a hot water bottle when it comes to keeping toasty.

I like the Superdrug long hot water bottle for £11.99.

It keeps my entire body warm.

You could also buy the Nivea wonderful warmer gift set.

It’s down to £7.50 from £20 and comes with a cosy hot water bottle, plus some pamper essentials.

That’s a real win, win.

SAVE: £12.50 on gift set
