Just bear in mind if you plan on ordering online that retailers have warned there will be more demand for delivery slots as people rely on getting their Christmas shopping delivered rather than going in store.

And of course compare delivery costs and check for minimum order thresholds if you are stocking up online.

Aldi’s limited edition blueberry gin is a festive addition to its already large line-up of gins.

The 20% ABV (alcohol by volume) content sweet beverage goes well with tonic, the discount supermarket says.

Blueberry gin is part of Aldi’s Christmas menu which also includes lobster tails and sloe gin mince pies.

This is the cheapest blueberry gin liqueur we found.

Marks and Spencer – gin snow globe

  • £18 (70cl) – available in store now and online at Ocado

This bottle of gin has proved a hit online, with social media users raving about it’s gram-worth good looks.

It contains 23-carat edible gold leaf for what M&S calls a showstopping sparkly effect, and the bottle lights up too, turning it into a glowing snow globe when shaken.

There are two flavours to choose from this 20% ABV gin liqueur range: clementine or rhubarb.

It looks like it’s a popular one so far and is currently sold out online at Ocado but you might get lucky if you pop in your local store.

Chocolate and orange is the flavour combo of the festive season in 2020.

And at Lidl that’s combined with an all-year round favourite – gin, with an ABV of 37.5%.

The tipple tastes of cocoa, vanilla and sweet orange and Lidl recommends serving it with tonic and a garnish of cinnamon and orange to top it off.

Lidl isn’t the only one to make this flavour of gin, but it’s the cheapest we found.
