AS the weeks are drawing closer to Christmas, you may be starting to think about party food.
Even though everyone’s probably having a more low-key events this year, it doesn’t mean you can’t still feast like a king.
From mini beef wellingtons to chocolate pine cones, we’ve rounded up the best Christmas buffet food from each supermarket.
Some of the products haven’t hit the shelves yet, so we’ve included when they’re due to go on sale so you can snap them up.
Remember, if you’re buying anything online, there’ll be delivery costs in addition to the prices that we’ve listed below.
For example, Tesco’s delivery costs £4.50, Sainsbury’s starts from 50p depending on the cost of your shop, Asda’s is £3 and Morrisons’ starts from £1.50.
They all have minimum spends too so make sure you check that before trying to purchase any food.
Aldi – Specially Selected mini beef wellingtons
- £2.99 (272g), serves 9. Available in store from December 10
Each year there are different party foods that sound so delicious, it stops us in our tracks.
Aldi’s mini beef wellingtons did that just for us last year, and now they’re back again once more.
They’re made with a delicious puff pastry with a British fillet beef inside, which is wrapped in a mushroom and thyme duxelle, which is a casing to stop the pastry from going soggy.
For people who want to try something new or make their spreads a little fancier, these are the perfect option.

Asda – Reindeer ice cream lollies

If you’re looking for the perfect treat to entertain and keep your kids happy, these reindeer ice creams are the solution.
They come in creamy caramel, chocolate and strawberry flavour ice cream with chocolate flavour eyes,
These adorable novelty ice cream lollies will bring fun and festive cheer to your Christmas celebration.

Iceland – Mini fish and chip cones

Everyone loves fish and chips, right? So why not have them as part of your party spread?
They’ve fish chunks have been flavoured with salt and vinegar and come with a helping of chips.
The adorable cones come in cardboard holders, which are similar to the newspaper wrapping that chippies used to use in days gone by.

Lidl – Duck spring rolls
- £1.49 (200g), serves 10. On sale from October 29
You can’t have a party without duck spring rolls and Lidl’s are delicious.
The pack is filled with 10 aromatic and flavoursome duck spring rolls which’ll go down well with everyone at your get together.
They’re also on offer at the cheaper end of the party food on sale too.

M&S – Chocolate pine cones
- £13 (549g), serves 6. On sale now
While these are a bit pricier, their golden sparkle and fun design could make them both a centrepiece for your table and a dessert.
Each chocolate pine cone is filled with chocolate mousse, which has a chocolate sauce centre, and has been dusted with edible gold glitter.

Morrisons – The Best mini steak and ale and chicken pies

Love a pie? How about a tiny version of them?
These adorable pies from Morrisons feature buttery shortcrust pastry and are filled with rich steak and ale or slow cooked chicken and Wiltshire ham.
The chicken ones are ideal for fussy kids who want to have something simple and delicious to eat, while the steak ones are bound to be a hit with adults.

Tesco – Finest mini British ham & cheddar toasties
- £4 (180g), serves 9. On sale in stores now
Toasties are the go-to for anyone at any time of day – and now Tesco’s made them part of your Christmas buffet food too.
The tiny sandwiches are filled with British ham and tangy West Country farmhouse cheddar.
They’re part of Tesco’s brunch inspired Christmas party range that also features golden crumpets topped with pulled ham hock, rich cheddar cheese and smooth bechamel sauce.
The toasties are on sale now by the crumpets don’t hit shelves until December 7.
