McDonald’s brought the popular game back for customers since September 6.

Among the top prizes this year was the whopping £100,000 win for four players and 2,000 “gold cards” – which gives customers free Maccies meal a week for a year.

And a young pair have now claimed the big prize.

Scarlett and Luke walked into their local McDonald’s without ever thinking they’d come out with a life-changing Monopoly win.

She said: “We both sat looking at the phone, and as much as we filled in paperwork and got on the phone to both of our parents, not even finishing our meals because we were so excited.”

In a state of shock, the pair couldn’t believe their luck until they saw the eye-watering sum pop up in their bank account.

She added: “We didn’t believe it until it was in our account.

“We’ve never been successful on Monopoly before, not ever more than the peel off food pieces! It was really quite incredible to see it pop up.”

The McDonald’s fans put all their Monopoly items into one big pile because they were unsure which items won them the huge jackpot.

“I put them into the app as we ate, so it could have been anything from chips to a McFlurry to Chicken Selects!,” Scarlett said.

They have now decided to splash the cash on a new house deposit.

Although the McDonald’s Monopoly ended on October 17, people are urged to check their game pieces as thousands of prizes are still yet to be claimed.

Three more £100,000 jackpots are waiting for a winner to come forward – and they have until October 31 to claim the life-changing prize.

Other prizes include coupons for free food items and gift vouchers for online stores.

And among the top prizes this year are TUI holidays worth £2,000.

It comes as McDonald’s introduced seven completely new additions to its menu last week, including two new McFlurry flavours and two burgers.

The menu includes the brand new McCrispy BBQ Smokehouse and old favourite, the Philly Cheese Stack, both specially picked out for the autumn season, using new flavours.

The Philly cheese stack delivers the ultimate cheesy experience with two succulent beef patties with a cheese sauce, two cheese slices, grilled and crispy onions and pickles served in a toasted bun.

Fans will also be able to take advantage of a new nine McNugget meal.
