Deliveroo is expanding again as the latest coronavirus lockdown turbocharges demand for takeaway delivery. 

The firm will today reveal plans to expand to another 100 towns and cities this year, meaning it will cover another 4m potential customers.

Yeovil, East Kilbride, King’s Lynn, Scarborough, Llanelli, Exmouth and Bangor in Northern Ireland are among areas being targeted. 

Deliveroo said it would aim to offer these areas deliveries within 30 minutes. 

Carlo Mocci, Deliveroo’s UK business chief, said: ‘We want to do everything possible to help households get the food they need.’
