DOMINO’S has combined two popular end-of-a-night-out dishes and launched the new doner kebab pizza.

The takeaway firm’s latest addition to the menu is topped with slices of doner beef, freshly chopped tomatoes and crunchy red onions.

The soft, fresh dough base is smothered in tomato sauce too, while Franksâ RedHotâ has been drizzled over the melted cheese to give it that extra kick.

The pizzas cost £18.99 for a large, £16.99 for a medium and £10.99 for a small – although prices vary by store as franchised branches can set their own.

We couldn’t find any other takeaway firm offering the same pizza toppings, but you can save cash by heading to the supermarket.

Of course, you’ll need to heat the pizza up yourself, but Asda sells two doner kebab pizzas in the frozen aisles.

How to save money on pizza

TAKEAWAY pizzas taste great but they can hit you hard on your wallet. Here are some tips on how to save on pizza:

Cashback websites – TopCashback and Quidco will pay you to order your pizza through them. They’re paid by retailers for every click that comes to their website from the cashback site, which eventually trickles down to you. So you’ll get cashback on orders placed through them.

Discount codes – Check sites like VoucherCodes for any discount codes you can use to get money off your order.

Make you own topping – One savvy customer noticed that Domino’s charges up to 70p MORE for pizzas on it’s menu compared to ordering the same one through the “create your own” option. It’s worth trying out to see if it makes a difference before you place your next order.

Buy it from the shops – Okay, it might not taste exactly the same but you’ll save the most money by picking up your favourite pizza from your local supermarket. Some Asda stores sell freshly made ones from the pizza counter where prices start at £2.

The Bilal thin & crispy doner kebab pizza costs £2, while the Jahan doner kebab pizza will set you back £2.10.

The supermarket pizzas are likely to contain fewer calories too. They both contain between 191 and 206 calories per 100g.

While Domino’s hasn’t included nutritional details on its latest offering, an original cheese and tomato classic crust comes in at 284 calories per 100g.

Thanks to the extra toppings, the doner kebab option is likely to contain even more calories.

The pizzas are available to order at all 1,200 stores from today but they will only be around for a limited time.

We’re not sure exactly when they will be removed from the menu but we’ve asked and will update this article when we know.

Domino’s Director of all things Doner, Josh Engleman said: “We all miss tucking into our favourite post-night-out treat but whilst we’re all hunkering down in the wintery evenings, you can always trust Domino’s to deliver the party spirit with our delicious new pizza.”

The pizza chain is still open for takeaways and collections throughout England’s second lockdown.

You can order through the app, website or via your nearest store, which you can find using the locator tool.

Domino’s charges for delivery though, which you will need to factor into the costs. These can vary by branch.
