HALF-TERM means double the usual spend, right?

It is hard for me to cater to everyone at the moment, with lots of the UK in lockdown — but if you are dining out with family this week, I can help.

You can dine out with your family for less during half-term with these great offers

All these new offers are available now . . .

TOBY CARVERY: From today until Wednesday, children eat for £1 at Toby Carvery if you buy an adult meal.

There is plenty on the kids’ menu to impress little ones, while adults should be impressed that it normally costs £4.99.

SAVE: £3.99

MARKS & SPENCER: When an adult spends £3 or more in an M&S cafe in England and Wales, excluding just hot drinks, their kids eat free.

That means youngsters can tuck into the usual £4 meal deal — main, side, snack and fruit — for free. If you are not already aware, this includes ham sandwiches, fruit boxes, juice and, the best bit, the Percy Pig biccie.

SAVE: £4

WHITBREAD INNS: If you are a regular at Brewers Fayre or Beefeater pubs, they have a discounted children’s menu this week. Your little darlings can get stuck into a three-course meal for kids for £4.99.

The feast includes starter, main, sides and pudding. At Bar + Block, its menus include a main, dessert and drink for £6.50 for young diners, with veggie sticks to start.

SAVE: £1.51

HUNGRY HORSE: Up until November 1, take advantage of Hungry Horse’s “Treat The Family” deal. Two adults and two children can enjoy mains and a sharer-pudding for as little as £4 each, price dependent on location.

Choose two pub-fave meals, two sides and a sharer pud. Or go for the two pizzas, two sides and family pudding. There’s also a chicken-bucket version. Your family bill will be from as little as £16.

Even Hungry Horse’s lunch deal — two mains for £10.49 Monday to Friday — means you are spending just over a fiver a person, so this family offer could really cut costs.

SAVE: At least £4
