POPULAR streaming service Disney+ is adding new live channels, according to reports.
The feature is said to be similar to the 24/7 channels available on apps like Pluto TV and Tubi.

The rumored always-on channels will feature content from Star Wars and Marvel, according to The Information.
Channels like this are popular because viewers don’t have to make the difficult decision of what to watch.
The channels have not been confirmed by Disney so right now we don’t know if fans will ever get to watch them.
It’s worth noting that the ABC app, which is owned by Disney, already offers a similar service.
This hasn’t stopped fans from taking to social media to praise the idea.
“I am pumped that Disney+ will be adding live channels just like the other streamers,” one person wrote on X, formerly Twitter.
“I think all the major streaming services should do this. Catalogs are so bloated, a lot of stuff is hard to find.
“Paramount+ actually already does this but I wonder how many people know about it?” another wrote.

Not everyone was pleased with the idea of another streaming service adding live channels.
“I guess the original model was the best model for monetization.
“Can’t wait till I pay a monthly subscription and still get ads. What was old is new again,” one person wrote on X.
“Add the ABC live stream to Disney+ and this might be worth something.
“Otherwise it’s just a bunch of AI-generated FAST channels like we already have on Peacock/Paramount+,” another person said.
