FEELING a little sluggish? Having been indoors so much, I’ll be glad to get moving now gyms have reopened.

It’s a great time to get active, to beat the New Year rush. But, if like me and need some gym gear to get going, you needn’t fork out a fortune. Here are some of my favourite low-cost options . . .

Asda’s nice: I am obsessed with the gym wear sold at Asda at the moment. The quality is great, it looks fashionable and you can pick it up on your big shop!

My favourites are the Seamfree Sports Leggings, £10 — perfect for running — and there’s a matching top for just £8. Plus they’re almost identical to popular styles sold at Gymshark for £45.

Insta ready: During lockdown, many of us have been doing home workouts with Instagram fitness gurus to keep active.

If you’re after some “Insta ready” kit, check out inthestyle.com. They’ve collaborated with Instagram personal trainer Courtney Black to offer a range of tops, hoodies and leggings for all shapes and sizes. And they’re all on offer. I love the Teal ruched T-shirt, £6, down from £20.

Warm-up: The weather is colder and you’ll want something cosy to wear in and out of the gym. Sportsdirect.com has cut-price hoodies for men and women.

The Lee Cooper men’s zip hoodie is just £8.99, usually £39.99 and will keep you toasty warm.

SAVING: £31

Shoe knows: One item of kit you may be worried about is trainers, as cheap ones may not offer the support you need. Thankfully, you can nab trusted brand names for big discounts at sportsshoes.com.

It has a great range for all activities. You can snap up a pair of Adidas Adizero RC 2 running shoes for £42.49, down from £84.99.
