CHRISTMAS has come early for Greggs fans as the bakery chain reveals details of its seasonal selection.

The popular festive bake is making a return for 2020, as well as Greggs’ salted caramel latte.

Greggs’ festive bake is back once again but it costs 5p more

If you’ve never tried one, the festive bake contains pieces of chicken breast, sage and onion stuffing, plus bacon, in a sage and cranberry sauce.

But fans should be aware that they’ve gone up in price compared to last year, with each bake priced at £1.60 instead of the £1.55 they cost in 2019.

You should also bear in mind that there are 453 calories in each bake – an adult man should consume 2,500 calories a day while it’s 2,000 for a woman.

Also making a comeback is Greggs’ salted caramel latte, which is made with a salted caramel syrup, cream and a shortbread crumb.

Unlike the festive bake, the salted caramel latte has been reduced in price and now costs £1.95 for a 12oz cup, instead of the £2.75 it was priced at last year.

Greggs has cut some prices across its menu after VAT was slashed from 20% to 5% for hospitality businesses – although not everything has been reduced.

Sadly, it doesn’t look like Greggs is bringing back its side dish of pigs in blankets, its turkey sandwich or Christmas lunch soup this year.

We’ve asked Greggs if these will be coming back at a later date and we’ll update this article when we know more.

Some of Greggs’ Christmas menu is already in shops, while other items are due to go on sale over the next two weeks.

You can see a full list of what will be available, and when, in the box above.

We’ve also rounded up some of our favourite picks here:
