A COMMON Amazon Fire TV Stick issue has been discussed in a popular Reddit Forum.
It regards screen mirroring content from another device onto your Fire TV Stick device of Fire TV but there are several catches.
The trick was posted about in a Reddit forum called r/fireTV.
One user of the forum wrote: “I was wondering if there was any screen mirroring on the fire TV.
“Even direct wifi doesn’t seem to work on the TV, and I know that there are apps you can download but the one I download was very laggy and I think it was showing me 480p.
“Does anyone have a suggestion on what I should do or what app I should use?”
This question was met with mixed responses in the Reddit thread.
Some users didn’t seem to think screen casting was possible due to the person who asked the question using an Amazon Fire TV and not an Amazon Fire TV Stick.
One person said: “Hold the home key for 3 seconds or until the menu shows.
“Select screen mirroring. Use Miracast on your phone. Done.”

The question asker responded: “I’m using a fire TV, screen mirroring is not an option when holding down the home button.”
Whether you can use screen mirroring does depend on what devices you’re using.
The steps can differ depending if you have an Android or iPhone.
It’s much easier to do with Android phones as you don’t need a third-party app.
Click on the Home button on your Amazon Fire TV Stick.
Then, press on Mirroring and then click Enter.
At the same time, take your Android device and find the Connected devices section in your Settings menu.
The steps to get there can differ depending on what Android device you have.
Select to connect and then click Cast.
Amazon says iOS and MacOS technically don’t support Fire TV screen mirroring.
According to the Kim Komando website, you can download an app called AirScreen that will allow you to screen cast from an Apple device.
