Women’s fashion chain Bonmarche has collapsed into administration for the second time in just over a year, putting more than 1,500 jobs at risk.
RSM restructuring advisory, appointed to handle the administration, said all 225 stores will stay open and there are no redundancies yet, as it looks to agree a rescue deal.
Bonmarche was owned by retail tycoon Philip Day whose other chains – Edinburgh Woollen Mill, Peacocks and Ponden Home stores – collapsed into administration last month.

The fate of Bonmarche, which previously went into administration in October 2019 before a rescue deal with Peacocks, comes hot on the heels of the demise of Debenhams and Arcadia.
Damian Webb, of RSM, said: ‘It is our intention to continue to trade while working closely with management to explore options.
‘We will shortly be marketing the business for sale.
‘Based on interest to date we anticipate there will be a number of interested parties.’
