Wozniak was taken to the hospital after fainting during the event, right before he was about to go on stage a source told CNN.

According to Mexican media, including the Televisa network and the El Universal newspaper, Wozniak had a stroke and was in a private hospital where his condition was “stable.”

However, another source indicated the tech chief collapsed after suffering from vertigo.

Wozniak was set to speak about his work with Jobs and the risks of technology, including artificial intelligence and cryptocurrencies, according to the forum’s website.

According to TMZ, Wozniak told his wife he was “feeling strange” before collapsing.

The software engineer founded Apple in 1976 with Steve Jobs, who died in 2011.

Steve Jobs died on October 5, 2011, following a battle with pancreatic cancer, aged 56.

The duo founded the Apple Computer Company alongside Ronald Wayne on April 1, 1976.

The original Apple computer was designed and hand-built by Wozniak while Apple was based in the garage of Jobs’ parents’ home in Mountain View, California.

It was sold for a whopping £1.1million in 2021.

In an interview with CNBC in 2020, Wozniak said he had discovered a simple formula for a successful life at the age of 20.

He said at the time: “If I died and had all this wealth and yachts and all this stuff, would I be as happy as when I laugh?

“And I thought about pranks I played and jokes I had told and music I would hear that would make me smile, and I came up with my formula that life is about happiness.

“Maybe success with money makes you happy too — but for me it was really just down to earth laughter and smiles.

“So I came up with my formula: Happiness equals smiles minus frowns,’ Wozniak said. ‘H = S-F.”
