LIDL shoppers can get a fiver off a £25 shop if they download the Lidl Plus app.

The supermarket is offering the deal to new app customers – but you’ll need to register before January 20 to cash in.

You can download the app onto your phone from the App Store or Google Play.

You need to be 18-years-old and over, and you’ll need to enter details such as your email and phone number to register.

Once you’ve created your account, you’ll find the discount in your coupons section.

To get the money off, you’ll have to shop in store as the coupon has to be scanned at the till.

You can’t take a screenshot, picture or print out of the coupon.

Shoppers will need to act quickly to get the deal, as your coupon will expire after 14 days.

Unfortunately, alcohol and infant formula does not count towards the spend amount.

You also won’t be able to use other Lidl Plus coupons which give a discount on overall spend in a single transaction.

If you want to check out where your nearest Lidl is, check out the supermarket’s store locator.

And to check out what Covid rules Lidl has in place, we’ve rounded up what restrictions supermarkets are enforcing that shoppers should be aware of.

There’s other discounts that Lidl is flogging that savvy shoppers can take advantage of.

Parents can get up to £442 worth of free food from Lidl over the year using their Healthy Start vouchers.

The state-backed coupons help low-income families with small children with the cost of milk, vegetables, fruit, pulses and vitamins.

We’ve examined how much food you can get for your voucher at each of the main UK supermarkets.

The government has confirmed that free school meals will continue for poorer families in lockdown as schools closed until after half-term.
