When is Black Friday 2020?

Friday November 27, that’s the date of the fourth Friday in November which is always Black Friday. It always comes the day after the American Thanksgiving holiday, which takes place on the gourth Thursday of the month.

Generally, the biggest sales and discounts are announced on the day itself, or even the day before. But the sales can start whenever retailers or brands feel is best, which can be a week or two before Black Friday itself.

Last year smartphone retailers competed for Black Friday iPhone 11 deals in the fortnight leading up to the day, as well as the day itself.

When is Cyber Monday 2020?

After Black Friday sales, there’s typically a Cyber Weekend with deals, deals and more deals.

This culminates in Cyber Monday, another sales shopping bonanza, which is on Monday, November 30, this year.

We would expect big or unlimited data offers to feature this year, but what to look out for depends on what you want from any Black Friday iPhone 11 deal.

Keep in mind the total cost of any contract deal. This is the amount you will pay over the length of any contract, and the lower the better value you’ll get.

It is also worth considering upfront cost. This fee is payable immediately, but some deals have a low upfront cost, or none at all. A low upfront cost with a low total cost signals a good offer if the contract is right.

Last Black Friday, some iPhone 11 deals arrived early but these were bettered closer to the day. It’s hard to predict when the best offers will arrive, so it’s best to buy only if you are happy with the deal.

What iPhone 11 deals were in the sale last year?

There were a couple of big deals available last Black Friday, as retailers went for large data contracts on Apple’s flagship smartphone. E2Save offered a two-year contract with 60GB of data each month – at a monthly cost of £33 and an upfront of £55.

That deal faced competition from Fonehouse in a Sun exclusive offer, with 75GB data at £41 a month and no upfront cost.

How much does the iPhone 11 cost?

The iPhone 11 currently costs £729 SIM-free directly from Apple, though it may be cheaper at other retailers. The SIM-free price is well worth bearing in mind if you want a specific SIM-only deal to go with our new iPhone.

This year we’d expect most iPhone 11 Black Friday deals to be focused on phone contract offers. But, should Apple release a new phone before Black Friday, the SIM-free price could drop too.
