BRITS who are worrying about sending Christmas cards during lockdown might be wondering if Card Factory is open.

It’s bad news for fans of the gift store chain in England as its shops are currently shut – but you can still place orders online.

Card Factory hasn’t been classed as an “essential” retailer by the UK government.

Its stores in England were closed on November 5 and won’t open again until December 2.

But its branches in Scotland and Northern Ireland are open, while its Wales shops reopened today following the end of the country’s 17-day lockdown.

Card Factory isn’t the only place to get cards though.

What businesses can remain open during the second lockdown?

What time is Card Factory open in Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland?

Opening hours will vary depending on your location – so it’s best to use the online store finder tool to see when your nearest branch is open.

Typically, shops are open from 9am until 6pm, Monday to Friday, but some stores in shopping centres do stay open as late as 9pm.

On Sundays, opening hours are usually 10am or 11am until 4pm or 5pm.

Card Factory has more than 1,000 shops in the UK and Ireland.

How do I order from Card Factory online?

You can order from Card Factory direct through its website.

This doesn’t apply to standard cards – only cards that you can customise.

Standard cards start from 79p – but keep in mind you’ll need to pay postage – while personalised cards – which offer free delivery – start from £1.79.
