WITH the weather cooling rapidly, many of us layer up to keep cosy.
And, as a nation of animal lovers, we are unlikely to let our beloved pets feel the chill. But, you needn’t fork out a fortune to keep your furry friend toasty. Check out these items I found. They’re effective, and great value for money.
THERMAL SNOOZING: Petsathome.com currently has a great online promotion on the Scruffs Thermal Box dog bed, £24.50, down from £35.
The thermal, self-heating bed is an ideal choice to keep your pooch nice and snug on those cold winter nights.
Saving: £10.50
TOASTY WARM: You can stop pets of all sizes from feeling the chill with a microwavable heat pad. I like the SnuggleSafe microwave wireless heatpad with fleece cover, £13.49, down from £22.45, at Amazon.co.uk.
It’s suitable for cats, dogs and small animals and stays warm for up to ten hours — great for an overnight boost.
Saving: £8.96
RAD IDEA: Cat beds that hang over radiators are a genius way for moggies to keep warm.
You can grab an extra cosy, plush version from meandmypets.com for just £8.95 — much cheaper than the £27.50 version sold at Petsathome.com.
Saving: £18.55
CUDDLE BUDDY: Warming toys are great for giving pets a little extra heat, plus they are also great at soothing pets who suffer from anxiety.
I love the All For Paws Little Buddy Warm Bear for £15.31 on eBay — usually £20 at other retailers.
Saving: £4.69
