MARKS & Spencer is doing an owl-shaped Easter egg this year that’s ideal for Harry Potter fans.

The sweet treat is made from white chocolate and modelled on the teen-wizard’s pet bird, Hedwig.

The magical gift is hand decorated and comes with a milk chocolate letter to be delivered at breakfast in the Great Hall.

The posh supermarket said the latest addition to its Easter range comes off the back of the success of its Harry Potter themed chocolate Christmas line.

The hollow choc weigh 365g and costs £15, which is pretty steep for an Easter egg.

For example, an extra large Cadbury milk orange giant buttons egg weighs 410g and costs £10, so you can get 45g extra for £5 less.

We’ve had a look around and couldn’t find any other Harry Potter themed Easter egg available to buy anywhere else – or a hollow owl-shaped chocolate for that matter.

It’s worth noting, the Hedgwig egg is made with milk and soya so it’s suitable for anyone with an allergy.

The chocolates landed in stores over the weekend so you already can pick one up on your next essential trip to the supermarket. You can find your nearest branch using the locator tool.

Alternatively, you can order yours directly from the M&S website although there’s a £3.50 delivery charge.

Delivery on orders over £50 is free and the chocolate eggs will be delivered from March 17.

Shoppers can also add one to their Ocado basket when doing their online grocery purchase, where they also cost £15.

However, there’s a minimum spend of £40 on Ocado to qualify for delivery plus a charge of between £2.99 and £6.99 for orders under £75. It’s free for more expensive orders.

M&S has also launched a giant chocolate Percy Pig for Easter too, complete with Jazzle sweets trousers.

Easter 2021 falls on April 4 this year, meaning it’s a Bank Holiday weekend for most from April 2 until Monday April 5.

While we won’t be able to tuck into a roast dinner with loved ones by then, two households will be able to meet outdoors from March 29.
