MARTIN Lewis has shared how to get more than £116 worth of beauty products at M&S for £20 by buying its Christmas box.

The tip from the money guru, which was shared in MoneySavingExpert’s weekly newsletter, saves you over £96, or roughly 83%.

To enjoy the sweet savings on beauty products, you should buy the 2020 Marks & Spencer Beauty Edit box, Martin suggested.

M&S usually offers a popular advent calendar, but it has this year replaced it with a box of ten beauty products instead.

Martin said in the newsletter: “It [M&S] normally offers a beauty advent calendar – this year it’s doing a box, but only if you spend £30+ on clothing, beauty or homeware.”

The box went on sale online and in M&S stores yesterday, October 27, but it’s only available as long as stocks last so it’s best to be quick.

The M&S' Beauty Edit box contains 10 products by brands such as The Works and Eyeko

You can find which stores near you still have stock on the M&S website.

M&S told The Sun it expects the box to be available between ten to 14 days, but added that online stock is likely to sell out quicker.

The box contains beauty products such as mascara, hair treatment and face masks from brands including Eyeko and This Works.

MoneySavingExpert has calculated that the items are worth £116.13 in total, if bought separately from the cheapest retailers.

However, M&S says the individual products actually add up to £122.

Fairly similar to last year, the retailer requires shoppers to spend at least £30 on clothing, home or beauty in order to get it for £20.

What’s included in the M&S beauty box?

HERE’S a full list of the beauty products included:

  • Eyeko “Lash Alert” mascara, 4ml (travel-size) – usually £10 at Lookfantastic
  • Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse floral, 10ml (mini) – worth £3.70 based on full-sized 50ml version at Lookfantastic
  • Leighton Denny “Renovate & Duplex” nail repair cream, 10ml (full-size) – usually £12 at M&S
  • Living Proof “Perfect Hair Day” 5 in 1 styling treatment, 60ml (full-size) – usually £10 at Lookfantastic

  • Prai Gold wrinkle repair cream, 30ml OR Prai Gold wrinkle repair serum, 15ml (mini)worth £20.99 based on full-sized 50ml version at Lookfantastic, or £11.40 based on full-sized 50ml version at M&S

  • This Works Deep Sleep “Body Cocoon” body lotion, 100ml (full-size) – usually £25 at Lookfantastic

Once you’ve spent £30 on eligible items, you’ll see the beauty box reduced to £20 online.

If you don’t meet the £30 minimum spend on other products, the box will cost a whopping £122.

The box is a good deal if you were planning to shop at M&S anyway, or you can use it as a way to get discounts on the brands included.

Just keep in mind that there are a number of items excluded from the qualifying spend, such as sale and clearance products, stationary, food, flowers and alcohol.

You can find the full terms and conditions on the M&S website.

Earlier this month, Martin Lewis shared how to get more than £165 worth of No7 products for £45 at Boots by buying an advent calendar – but this has since sold out.

If you missed out and you still want to buy a beauty advent calendar, The Body Shop’s Make It Real version costs £130, but has £226 worth of goodies inside – a saving of £96.

Or if you don’t mind spending even more, Elemis’ beauty advent calendar sets you back £175, but contains products worth £403.84 – saving you £228.84.

In other Martin Lewis news, the money guru has spotted a huge gape in Rishi Sunak’s latest coronavirus support plan – and it hits 3million people.

He’s also issued a warning to struggling credit customers that they have just a few days left to apply for a three month payment holiday.

Plus, he’s urged anyone who has worked just one day from home due to Covid to claim up to £125.
