MCDONALD’S has released details of its Christmas menu for 2020 – and it includes a DOUBLE Big Mac.
The double Big Mac has a whopping four patties instead of the usual two, as well as cheese, lettuce, onions and Big Mac sauce.
The double Big Mac was launched in the US earlier this year but this is the first time it’s been released in the UK.
However, there has previously been a Mega Mac – which also had four patties – although McDonald’s says its double Big Mac is a different product.
The double Big Mac is the biggest burger McDonald’s has ever sold, followed by the triple cheeseburger.
It’ll be available as a single sandwich for £4.19, or as a meal with a side and drink for £5.69, when the Christmas menu launches on Wednesday, November 18.

HERE’S what McDonald’s has in store for its Christmas menu 2020:
- Double Big Mac meal (£4.19 single, £5.69 as a meal)
- Jamaican jerk chicken sandwich meal (£4.39 single, £5.69 as a meal)
- Cheese melt dippers (£1.79)
- Cheese melt dippers sharebox (£4.79)
- Celebrations McFlurry mini (99p)
- Celebrations McFlurry (£1.39)
- Salted caramel latte (£1.69)
Also new to the festive menu is a Jamaican jerk chicken sandwich, which contains two pieces of crispy chicken with a spicy jerk sauce, bacon, pepper jack cheese, onion and lettuce in a sourdough bun.
This will be available as a single sandwich for £4.39, or part of a meal for £5.69.
For afters, McDonald’s is launching a new Celebrations McFlurry – available in mini size for 99p or regular size for £1.39 – which has pieces of Maltesers, Galaxy, Mars, Twix and a caramel sauce.
There’s also a new salted caramel latte, priced at £1.69, which McDonald’s describes as “a hug in a mug”.
And returning to the menu is McDonald’s cheese melt dippers, which are priced at £1.79 for four dippers, or £4.79 for a sharebox.
The festive menu from McDonald’s will be around until December 29, which means you’ll have six weeks to tuck into the seasonal grub.
However, you’ll want to keep in mind that a double Big Mac packs 694 calories and the Jamaican jerk chicken sandwich has 564 calories.
In the UK, men are recommended to consume no more than 2,500 calories, while it’s 2,000 for women.
In line with government guideline, McDonald’s restaurants remain closed for dine-in customers.
However, you can still order food for takeaway, click and collect or delivery.
Delivery from McDonald’s is available through Just Eat or Uber Eats, depending on your area – but keep in mind you’ll pay extra for delivery.
Click and collect is free and done through the My McDonald’s app.
