MCDONALD’S fans keen to deck themselves in clobber inspired by the fast-food chain can get their hands on hoodies, bucket hats and more.
The home of the Big Mac is giving away thousands of festival themed wellies, hoodies, onsies and bucket hats to celebrate the launch of its “I’m lovin’ it live” music event this weekend.
From October 30 for three nights, McDonald’s at-home festival will see live performances from pop stars, including Stormzy, Jess Glynne, and Lewis Capaldi, stream via its free app on Android and Apple.
The hoodies being given away will feature the names of the music artists performing over the weekend on the back in gold writing, plus the dates of the event.
All of the merchandise is black with a gold “M” for Maccies emblazoned on it bar the wellies, which are bright gold with a black “M” logo.
McDonald’s couldn’t tell us how much the freebies are worth but it has run similar giveaways in the past.
How do I get the clobber?
Getting your hands on the clobber isn’t guaranteed, sadly. Instead, you’ll have to hope you get lucky in a prize draw.
To be in with a chance of winning, go to the McDonald’s Facebook page and scroll down until you see the competition post.
The most recent competition post was on October 26 and starts with: “Another chance to WIN official I’m Lovin’ it Live merch!”
Underneath the post is a video showing the clothing with a grey banner underneath that reads: “WIN exclusive I’m Lovin’ It Live merch! Learn More.”
Click on this banner and an online form will pop-up asking for your UK shoe, jumper, and onsie size. You also need to enter your email address, name, postal address, and date of birth.
You must be 16 or older to enter, have a Facebook account, and live in England, Scotland or Wales (residents of Northern Ireland are excluded).
The giveaway opened at midnight on October 26 and runs until 11.59pm on November 1, and you can only enter once.
This is actually the second draw McDonald’s has run. If you entered the first giveaway, which ran from 9am on October 24 until 11.59pm on October 25 you don’t need to enter again as unsuccessful entrants will be automatically resubmitted.
You don’t get to win the set of four clothing items – you’ll just get one of the items at random.
Prizes will be delivered to the first 1,590 entrants chosen at random within seven days of the closing date. The first competition, which has now closed, also had 1,590 winners.
See McDonald’s website for the full terms and conditions before taking part.
