When are Morrisons stores opening and closing?

Morrisons extended its opening times since last year’s first lockdown, with most stores now open from 7am until 10pm Monday to Saturday.

Meanwhile, its Sunday opening hours are typically 9.30am to 4pm, apart from in Scotland where stores are open from 8am to 8pm on Sundays.

The supermarket chain has introduced an NHS hour from 6am to 7am on Monday to Saturday and 9am to 9.30am on Sundays.

In Scotland, stores will open 7am to 8am for NHS workers on Sundays.

All customers with an NHS badge will be allowed to enter the store early and stock up on the products they need at this time.

To find your nearest store and its opening hours, simply use Morrisons’ store finder tool.

When is the best time to shop there?

Google has a tracker which allows you to see when the peak times are.

If you search for “Morrisons” and then click on your nearest store, it will show a bar chart of when the store’s busiest times are.

What are the shopping rules for Morrisons?

Morrisons is limiting the number of customers allowed in stores are the same time so you may be asked to queue outside at busier times.

In September, it introduced a three per person limit on a few key products, including toilet roll and disinfectant, but these have now been lifted.

There are marshals on the doors at Morrisons, social distancing measures in place and perspex screens at tills.

Shoppers must wear a face covering as per the government guidelines, unless exempt.

The supermarket will ban anyone without a mask from entering its shops unless they are medically exempt.

Customers without one will be offered a free face covering by staff so they can continue to pick up groceries.

Those who refuse will not be allowed to shop.

Online delivery options and click and collect advice

Morrisons is experiencing high demand for online delivery slots, so the supermarket recommends checking back regularly for availability.

Customers can see slots up to six days in advance while vulnerable shoppers and those who have a delivery pass can see slots up to 21 days ahead.

The supermarket is working with the government to identify vulnerable customers.

Morrisons recommends that customers book their delivery slot first and then place their order to avoid disappointment.

But a reserved slot expires after 60 minutes if you haven’t checked out.

Delivery costs between £2 and £7 depending on the slot or with a delivery pass, it ranges from £5 per month to £65 a year depending on the times you choose.

If you can’t get a home delivery slot, you can do click and collect from 440 locations and the supermarket is also doing food boxes.

There are a range of boxes to choose from, including essentials or regular subscriptions and there is next day delivery.

Morrisons also offers delivery through Amazon for Amazon Prime members.

This usually has same-day delivery slots but with high demand, there is now virtual queuing in place and Amazon will notify shoppers when slots become available.
