I am a McDonald’s employee and this is my favourite secret menu item I order EVERY time… here’s how you can get it too

A MCDONALD’S worker has revealed her favourite “secret menu item” she orders each time.

The Australian employee said her go-to drink was cookies and cream frappe.

Unlike a regular chocolate frappe topped with whipped cream and chocolate sauce, blended Oreo pieces are added to recreate the cookies and cream taste. 

And, anyone can order the modified drink simply by ordering these ingredients to be blended.

The short clip shared by “Maccas Chick” is part of a series of videos where the worker answers questions about McDonald’s. 

The frappe video captioned “my favourite thing to drink” has been viewed more than 38,000 times.

One person said: “’I just got this, it is amazing.

Another worker said: “As a Macca’s employee, I can confirm that this drink is possible to make and is amazing.”

The items are available to make the cookies and cream frappe in the US, but in the UK only an iced caramel frappe is sold, although Oreo McFlurry is available for the mix.

Many McDonald’s fans will have heard about the famous “secret menu”, but does it actually exist?

Thankfully Maccies worker Jack, who claims to have been a crew trainer at the fast food chain between 2015 and 2019, has lifted the lid on what you can order. 

Jack responded on Quora to a person who asked if the secret menu is real. 

He explained: “There isn’t a set secret menu at McDonald’s. You have the ability to customise almost anything on the menus.

“Thanks to social media, I have customers ask for crazy items such as the ‘Mega Mac’ or the ‘Land, Air and Sea burger.

“This isn’t on our menu nor are we trained to create these orders. I usually ask the customer what the item consists of and what they would like to add. I usually remember these items for the next person that asks.”

Earlier this year another McDonald’s worker revealed a lesser-known truth about the fast-food giant’s onions.

TikTok user “Macca’s Myths” said sliced large onions and dehydrated onions are used in the burgers. 

They said: “At Macca’s, we have two types of onions. Large onions which have been cut up and dehydrated onions.”

The TikToker then explained that dehydrated onions are soaked overnight in a bucket of water with a lid on top before being drained the following day and put into onion shakers.
