PlayStation has just revealed a huge free upgrade for one of its best exclusives – and it’s just around the corner

THE Game Awards is the biggest event of the gaming calendar, and it isn’t short on massive gaming announcements.

One was completely unexpected, and PlayStation fans were especially hyped about this massive upgrade.

God of War Ragnarök is one of the most popular PS5 exclusives, and it won numerous awards when it was released in 2022.

It was even nominated for the coveted Game of the Year award but narrowly missed out to Elden Ring.

Just over a year following its release, Sony Santa Monica has a gift for all God of War fans.

A trailer for God of War Ragnarök was revealed at The Game Awards, showing around a minute of gameplay from the upcoming DLC.

The footage featured a number of new boss and arena battles, with what felt like an extension to the story as well.

It seems as if there are a number of new weapons and armour pieces for people to collect.

More shocking than the announcement that God of War DLC is coming, was two very special follow ups.

The first is that fans won’t have to wait long to get their hands on the upcoming God of War Ragnarök Valhalla DLC.

The Valhalla DLC will launch on Tuesday, December 12, 2023, so there are only a few days to wait until it is live.

Following the shock of the soon to be release date was another big surprise for players.

God of War Ragnarök Valhalla will be free for anyone who already owns the base game.

If you own God of War Ragnarök, then Valhalla should automatically download once it is available.
