IF you’re looking to roll up your sleeves and get down and dirty this lockdown, you might want to check out Poundland’s new gardening range.

The discount retailer has let The Sun take a sneak peek at the new collection, which includes gargoyles, lanterns, and bunting.

We’ve picked out the best bits from Poundland’s new garden range

You’ll have to wait a little while longer before you can get your hands on the new range, as they’ll be hitting the shelves in the next few months.

In the meantime, you can still shop for other gardening essentials in store at Poundland.

You can check out which items are available now on the store’s website.

Shoppers should also tie in their visit with an essential journey they need to make under lockdown rules.

You can find out where your local Poundland store is using the shop’s store locator tool on its website.

Before you splash out, make sure you compare prices online – you might be able to find the same or similar product cheaper elsewhere.

Here’s our favourite items from the new collection:

Gargoyle – £3

Usually you’d find gargoyles on the side of old buildings, but now you’ll be able to pop one on your lawn.

Poundland has launched three types of the spooky statues, but we like this cheeky chappy the best.

We couldn’t find garden gargoyles going for cheaper elsewhere.

But if you’re willing to splash out on some gothic glam, Wayfair has a selection of statues – and this dragon gargoyle is going for £20.99.

Solar stake lights – £5

For a fiver, you can get 10 of these solar powered garden stake lights.

We think they could look nice lined up along a garden path.

However, we’ve seen similar lights for less at B&Q.

You can get a pack of 10 for £4, down from £9, in the store’s clearance section.

Lantern – £6

If you have kids, this flame effect lantern could be a safer option than buying the real thing

This lantern is solar powered, and when lit up, gives out a flame effect.

It could be a nice way to light up your garden in the evenings when the weather gets better.

We couldn’t find this, or something similar, cheaper elsewhere.

But Argos is selling this animal patterned solar lantern for £7.99, down from £12.

Apple ornament – £3

If you’re looking for outdoor decor that looks good enough to eat, this apple ornament might do the trick.

And if you’re not a fan of apples, Poundland is also launching a pear equivalent at the same price.

We’ve not spotted fruity ornaments like this for much cheaper anywhere else.

But if you’re willing to fork out more, we spotted this golden pineapple for £27.99 from Wayfair.

Hessian bunting – £1

At £1, this bunting won't make too much of a dent to your purse

If you’ve got a special occasion coming up in the Spring and want to jazz up your garden for the event, you might want to try out these hessian bunting decorations.

They’re £1, so you could buy a few without breaking the bank.

We couldn’t spot anything as cheap as this anywhere else.

String lights – £2

You could bring the disco outside with these multi-coloured solar-powered LED string lights.

They’re 5.8m long, so could look great draped over some shrubs or along a garden fence.

These are the cheapest solar powered fairy lights we could spot, but if these multicoloured ones from Habitat are going for £12.50 from Argos.

Wall light – £6

For £6, you could get this crackle effect wall light

The container has been decorated with a crackle effect, and it’s also solar powered.

If you like a more traditional look, then this solar wall light is going for a little bit more at £10 from Argos.
