Apple’s iPhone 15 Pro is under fire yet again after some consumers expressed outrage after the device was found to peel less than two months after purchase

A Reddit user said they purchased their iPhone 15 Pro only a month and a half ago but noticed the back edges were peeling after removing the case to clean it.

The user, who goes by mr_rakue, said he used a Rhinoshield Mod NX case but didn’t believe it could have affected the phone.

The post grabbed the attention of other iPhone 15 owners who experienced the same issue, with one noting they took their smartphone to an Apple Store and were told it was a manufacturing issue.

The claims come just a week after Apple’s smartwatch was pulled from shelves due to patent infringement claims – but the tech giant’s appeal put them back on sale temporarily.

‘I’m actually surprised that this sort of adhesive even exists on the back,’ mr_rakue said in the Reddit post.

He continued: ‘It feels like the entire back is a sticker that’s about to peel off.’

Other people responded that they experienced a similar problem, with one saying their iPhone 15 Pro had the same issue only two days after purchasing the device.

The user, who goes by JDT33658, said Apple had to replace the entire device when their phone suffered the same problem.

But they added that the employees allegedly said, ‘the adhesive that is used to hold the back down was not applied correctly and started peeling because it was sticking out the edge.’

If the device starts peeling, users should avoid tampering with it, as it could void the iPhone’s warranty.

Instead, they should document the problem, contact Apple Support, or bring the device to an Apple store to request replacement or repair options.

Apple did not immediately respond to Dailymail.com’s request for comment and has not publicly addressed the issue.

The iPhone 15 models were quickly met with issues from users who complained the iPhone got too hot, its battery depleted quickly, it froze during setup, it had a slow iOS system, and it wasn’t as durable as previous models.

Apple rolled out the iPhone 15 in September of last year, and a study released by the review site, PerfectRec found the iPhone 15 Pro model to be the worst-rated Apple phone, with 73 percent of users rating it five stars.

This is a drop from the iPhone 14 Pro, which received 76 percent five-star ratings, while 83 percent of users rated five stars for the iPhone 13 Pro.

Apple said it did address the issues with its iOS 17.1 update, but users said the software was destroying their battery life.

A spokesperson told CNET in October that increased background activity in the first few days of use could cause the device to run warmer and added that the company also found a bug in the initial iOS 17 software.

The spokesperson said: ‘Another issue involves some recent updates to third-party apps that are causing them to overload the system.

‘We’re working with these app developers on fixes that are in the process of rolling out.’
