LAST Black Friday RHA announced a discounted range of audio options to rival Apple AirPods and other premium brands.

That meant reduced prices across the board with a range of discounts up to 50 per cent off – here’s what to look out for this year.

When is Black Friday?

Black Friday 2020 will be on November 27 – a day after the American holiday thanksgiving.

Audio deals could kick of as early as mid-November, as retailers line up their offers.

But last year RHA waited until the day before Black Friday to release its own deals for shoppers.

When is Cyber Monday 2020 and will RHA be taking part?

Sales don’t begin and end with Black Friday.

Typically, they’ll continue through the Cyber Weekend, culminating in Cyber Monday, which is on Monday, November 30 this year.

We’re expecting RHA to take the same approach, with offers from Black Friday through Cyber Monday.

What to expect from RHA’s Black Friday sale

If you’re not familiar with RHA, the UK audio company provide headphones and earbuds worth considering.

Last year the brand offered up to 50 per cent off its product, meaning some great value offers.

We wouldn’t be surprised to see another blanket offer this year, as the company looks to reinforce its reputation among audiophiles.

The T20 Wireless combines several of RHA’s signature technologies.

It has a customisable sound signature; distinctive, ergonomic housings; precision DualCoil driver and high-fidelity Bluetooth neckband. Perfect for high impact sports or outdoor activites.

How do wireless headphones actually work?

Most Bluetooth headphones work fairly simply: one singular Bluetooth signal transfers data between the headphones and the source device.

These source devices are also capable of staggering the video and audio streams to ensure they sync with each other.

But with the introduction of Bluetooth 5 offering the most energy efficient and stable connection yet, true wireless has flourished.

In every set of true wireless buds, one earbud (usually the right) is considered the primary (or ‘master’) bud and acts as a bridge between the source device and secondary bud, creating a tiny network known as a piconet.

The primary earbud manages the piconet and compensates for any delay between the buds that occurs in the audio transmission.

Audio delay (known as latency) can be a pain, so minimising this effect is crucial.

To minimise latency, the buds send information to and fro to compute how long it takes to travel information around the piconet.

The speed the information travels at can be affected by several factors, especially by the environment they’re used in; built-up areas busy with signals can majorly affect latency.

Which wireless earphones are best?

When choosing which wireless earphones are best, it all depends on their intended purpose.

Wireless earphones tend to be less unwieldy when compared to wireless headphones, for example, but you do end up sacrificing sound quality given their smaller design.

They also don’t feel as secure if you’re using them while exercising, for example, so you’ll need to look for wireless earphones with added support.
