The Black Friday deals launch today and are available until November 30.

Before signing up to a new contract, you should look around at other sites to make sure you really are getting the best deal.

For example, bill payers can actually save more cash by switching to Freeview but you won’t get access to all of the channels available through a paid-for service.

It’s difficult to compare broadband, mobile phone and TV package deals because there are many different factors to take into account, such as speed, number of channels and network coverage.

Our tips for finding the best deals this Black Friday and Cyber Monday

IT might be tempting to dive in and snap up LOADS of items on Black Friday and Cyber Monday, but here’s how you can guarantee you’re getting a good deal.

PREPARE Research the items you want to buy and find out the cheapest price. Websites like PriceSpy, PriceHistory and CamelCamelCamel will give you historical data on prices so you can see how much you should pay.

GET FOLLOWING Follow your favourite shops on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram and sign up to its deals newsletter to get the latest on any offers. We post the best deals in our Sun Money FB group too.

CHECK FOR CODES Take a look at The Sun Vouchers, and see if you can get extra savings with discount codes.

Most firms charge set-up fees too as well as early exit payments if you want to end the contract before it’s due to end.

Use a comparison site like USwitch, MoneySupermarket or CompareTheMarket, to find the best deals that are suited to your priorities.

Uswitch mobile expert Catherine Hiley: “Sky Mobile offering 50% off latest iPhone 12 is sure to make existing and prospective customers sit up and take notice.

“This steep discount, coupled with Sky Mobile’s free data rollover for two years and free 5G all make these mobile deals worth considering if you are looking to buy a new phone.

“As ever when it comes to taking out a new phone contract, consider all the details before committing to the purchase.

“For example, it is worth checking the network coverage for your new provider before agreeing to the deal.”

All of Sky’s Black Friday deals are available on its website. Here, we’ve rounded up a few of our top picks:

50% off Sky Q TV packages including Sports, Cinema and Kids

Sky has slashed the cost of its TV packages in half when you take out an 18-month Sky Signature package too, which costs £25 a month.

The deal includes Sky Sports, Sky Cinema, Ultimate TV add on, Sky Kids, Ultra HD and HD and Multiscreen.

Sky Signature gives you access to all of the channels available on its Entertainment plus Box Sets package.

Remember though, your monthly costs will go up despite the half price deal because you have to take out an extra product to get it.

If you don’t want the Sky Signature package then the deal is not worth it.

The provider hasn’t supplied any pricing details in the deal so we’ve had a look at how the offers will reduce today’s prices.

For example, the All Sky Sports Channels package normally costs £30 a month but this will be reduced to £15 a month in the deal.

But taking into account the Signature package (£25) your monthly costs will actually be £40.

The provider also hasn’t supplied any details of installation fees which if applicable, will eat into your savings.

50% off 30GB plans with any phone

If you’re a data-fiend and in the market for a new phone then this could be the deal for you.

Sky has knocked 50% off the bill when you take out a 30GB plan with Sky Mobile, including the new iPhone 12 range.

The provider says that it will knock £540 off the price of an iPhone 12 or Samsung Galaxy S20 5G, when you take out a 30GB plan.

There are no upfront fees for the handset and costs £38 a month – although it hasn’t included any details of how long the plan is for and whether there are any early exit charges.

You can also bag a sim-only deal for £8 a month, which comes with 8GB of data every month. Again, it is not clear if this is a rolling contract or fixed-term.

30% off Sky Broadband

Sky has knocked 30% off its essential broadband service, taking the price down from £25 a month to £17.50 a month.

Sky Broadband Superfast is also on offer, for just £25 a month on an 18-month contract in the Black Friday sale.

Normally, you can expect to pay around £27 a month so over the term, you’ll save £36.

By signing up, you’ll also get Sky’s Speed Guarantee, so if your broadband speed falls below the minimum you can claim a month’s subscription fee back.

It’s worth bearing in mind that there is a £19.95 set up charge though which may wipe out any savings you make.
