The offers are available already until the end of January or various dates in February, depending on which deal you go for.

Before you sign up to anything or depart with your cash, make sure you compare prices as you may be able to find better deals elsewhere.

It can be difficult to compare broadband, mobile phone and TV package deals because there are many different factors to take into account, such as speed, number of channels and network coverage.

Most firms charge set-up fees too as well as early exit payments if you want to end the contract before it’s due to end.

Use a comparison site like USwitch, MoneySupermarket or CompareTheMarket, to find the best deals that are suited to your priorities.

Double mobile data

Sky Mobile is offering all customers double data on SIM Only plans, with 6GB data for the price of 3GB at £8 a month.

The deal is available until January 27, 2021, on its website, so there’s plenty of time for you to take advantage of it.

How to save on your mobile phone bill

NOT happy with your current mobile phone deal?

If you’re outside the minimum term of your contract then you won’t need to pay a cancellation fee – and you might be able to find a cheaper deal elsewhere.

But don’t just switch contracts because the price is cheaper than what you’re currently paying.

Take a look at how many minutes and texts, as well as how much data you’re using, to find out which deal is best for you.

For example, if you’re a heavy internet user it’s worth finding a deal that accomodates this so you don’t end up spending extra on bundles or add-ons each month.

Also note that if you’re still in your contract period, you might be charged an exit fee.

Ready to look elsewhere? Pay-as-you-go deals are better for people who don’t regularly use their phone, while monthly contracts usually work out cheaper for those who do.

It’s worth using comparison websites, such as MoneySupermarket and uSwitch.com, to compare tarrifs and phone prices.

Billmonitor also matches buyers to the best pay-monthly deal based on their previous three months of bills.

It only works if you’re a customer of EE, O2, Three, Vodafone or Tesco Mobile and you’ll need to log in with your online account details.

There’s also MobilePhoneChecker, which has a bill monitoring feature that recommends a tariff based on your monthly usage.

If you’re happy with your provider then it might be worth using your research to haggle a better deal.

Smartphone savings including £360 off iPhone 12

Shoppers can also snap up the latest iPhone 12, available with 50GB per month, for £43 a month on a 36-month contract, plus no upfront cost.

The data plan usually costs £25 a month but has been reduced to £15 a month, meaning you can save £360 in total.

The remaining £28 from the total £43 a month cost is for the handset.

But you can save cash by choosing less data, if you don’t need that much internet. For example, just 2GB of data costs £6 per month, or 6GB costs £8 per month.

So with the £28 monthly cost for the handset, you’d pay £34 for 2GB of data or £36 for 6GB.

You can also save money by shopping around if you’re after a sim-only deal.

A sim-only deal is where you pay just for your data, texts and minutes and not the handset – so you’ll need to already have a phone to do this.

When we searched today, the cheapest sim-only deal with unlimited data cost just £14.97 per month according to Uswitch.

Alternatively, Sky claims you can save £432 on the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5G, available with 50GB of data and no upfront costs, for £38 a month.

As of December 26, you can also claim a free Samsung Galaxy Watch Active with the device.

Like the iPhone deal, the price of the 50GB of data has been slashed from £25 to £15 – but it’s unclear where the remaining saving comes from.

We’ve asked Sky for more details and we’ll update this article when we get a response.

But again, you can save even more cash though by going for smaller data plans.

Sky Mobile deals are available until 19 February 2021.

Save £216 on fast broadband

For customers looking to surf the internet or stream without buffering, Sky is offering Sky Broadband Superfast and Anytime Calls for £25 a month on an 18-month contract.

The plan usually costs £37 a month, excluding a £19.95 set-up fee, meaning you can save £216 thanks to the deal over the 18-month period.

With Sky Broadband Superfast, you also get the provider’s speed guarantee.

It means that if you don’t get the speed you were promised, you can claim one month’s broadband subscription back.

The Sky Broadband deal is available at the provider until January 27, 2021.

But again, shop around in case you can find prices cheaper elsewhere.

For example, we found Now Broadband is offering anytime calls and internet for £18 a month with £5 setup.

Both Sky and Now Broadband offer 11mb/s average speed.

Get Sky TV and broadband in one package and save £234

If you’re keen to combine your TV and broadband bills in one package, Sky is offering Sky TV and Sky Broadband Superfast together for £39 a month.

Similar to the above, this is also available if you sign an 18-month contract.

The package usually costs £52 per month including the line rental, meaning you can save £234 with the deal.

To get the offer, you’ll need to sign up by February 11, 2021.
