However, irate parents slammed the £35-a-ticket event in Glasgow as ‘an absolute shambles’ after they arrived and were greeted with a near-empty warehouse with a few Wonka-themed props and a small bouncy castle.
Just hours after it hit the headlines, X user @imcxllumbtw recreated the ‘shambles’ in The Sims.
‘The §35 Willy Wonka experience has officially opened in SimCity,’ they tweeted, alongside two photos of the recreation.
The first image shows the near-empty warehouse, while the second shows a glum-looking woman dressed as an Oompa Loompa, conducting a science experiment.
