CRAVING a sweet treat that will not break your Veganuary vow?
It can be tricky to find goodies you are allowed during the annual event to promote a vegan lifestyle. But here are some tasty and affordable options . . .
Up for the cuppa: Costa Coffee has released its new menu for January and it is packed with vegan options. Plus, to celebrate its 50th birthday, the chain is offering 50 per cent off all food every Monday to Wednesday until February 3. Options include vegan lotus biscoff cheesecake and a barbecue chick’n panini.

Hot cup of horlicks: This bedtime treat does the trick for me, and Veganuary need not stop that. Buy a 400g jar of Horlicks Vegan at Asda for £3.49 — it’s £6.50 at stockist garraways.co.uk.
SAVE: £3.01
Ice, ice baby: Aldi has three new flavours of Gianni’s ice cream — vegan salted caramel, chocolate brownie and peanut butter. Each is £1.99 for a 500ml tub. For a 500ml tub of Morrisons vegan salted caramel swirl ice cream, you would pay £2.85.

Snack attack: If partial to a pack of Fridge Raiders, you can treat yourself to the new Veggie Bites range, including simply seasoned, Mexican heatwave and Indian masala flavours. Each 70g pack is plant-based. Buy at Sainsbury’s for £1.
Squeezy does it: Last year sales of Hellmann’s vegan mayo were up nearly 400 per cent — and you can get it for £1.50 at Sainsbury’s, down from £2.15. I’ve discovered Hellmann’s vegan Baconnaise at Asda for £1.50 and I’m also a fan of the Wicked Kitchen piri piri vegan mayo, £1.40 at Tesco.
