TESCO has launched its Black Friday deals and it includes half price Lego and FIFA 21 discounts.

The supermarket is one of several retailers to launch deals ahead of the day itself – and that means the Nintendo Switch it was selling for just £229 has already sold out, but there are plenty of other deals to be had.

Sharp-eyed shoppers spotted the Nintendo Switch Fortnite Edition in stores, as well a the neon and grey versions, in the Black Friday sale.

Tesco had it on sale for £229, reduced from £279 – that’s an 18% saving, or £50 off.

Some stores did not have the Switch in stock at all while some shoppers reported the popular console sold out in their local branch as soon as it went on sale.

This is among the lowest prices we’ve seen for the Nintentdo Switch, and Asda, Aldi and eBay have offered similar low prices, but all these have quickly sold out too.

This is the cheapest we found the game for online, with John Lewis selling it for £32.99 the next closest price, though you would have to add delivery on top which starts from £3.50.

When is Black Friday 2020?

This year Black Friday falls on November 27 – the day after the American holiday Thanksgiving.

The date changes each year as Thanksgiving also moves dates to always be the fourth Thursday in the month.

Tesco’s Black Friday offerings arrived on the day itself last year but this year, it offered up its deals early, with technology and entertainment a key area for big savings.

It launched some early deals ahead of Black Friday include headphones, hairdryers and kids toys.

When is Cyber Monday and will Tesco be taking part?

Cyber Monday is happening on Monday, November 30, this year.

Tesco’s Black Friday sales will run through the weekend and Cyber Monday ending on December 2, while stocks last.

How much does Tesco’s delivery cost?

Tesco has had to alter its delivery details slightly due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The supermarket charges £4.50 for all delivery slots, or £5.50 it your order is coming from a fulfilment centre.

Due to high demand, the supermarket is no longer accepting new Delivery Saver sign-ups.

Delivery Saver is a subscription service, with plans starting from £3.49 a month.

Does Tesco offer any other discounts?

Tesco does offer its Clubcard discounts, in which shopping earns you points which can become vouchers.

The retailer doesn’t offer and direct discounts for students – nor does it for military personnel or NHS workers.

It is possible to find Tesco discounts and vouchers codes from voucher sites though – like The Sun Vouchers.
