STOCKING up for Christmas? We’ve spotted the cheapest place to get your bottle of Malibu this year.

Tesco is selling the coconut rum tipple for just £10 for Clubcard members.

The £10 deal is for people with Tesco’s Clubcard loyalty card and without one, you’ll be paying £15.

Clubcard is free and you can get lower prices on a range of products in store and online, including a bottle of Baileys for only £9.50.

That’s the cheapest we’ve seen the Irish cream liqueur but you only have until December 14 to nab that deal.

Malibu for £10 is the cheapest we’ve seen the drink on sale for the 70cl size bottle – we found Sainsbury’s and Morrisons had the closest price at £12.

Supermarket loyalty schemes – which has one?

MOST UK supermarkets have loyalty schemes so customers can build up points and save money while they shop.

Here we round up what saving programmes you’ll find at the big brands.

  • Iceland: Unlike other stores, you don’t collect points with the Iceland Bonus Card. Instead, you load it up with money and Iceland will give you £1 for every £20 you save.
  • Morrisons: Morrisons’ More gives customers five points per £1 spent in store. When customers earn 5,000 points they receive a £5 voucher.
  • Sainsbury’s: While Sainsbury’s doesn’t have a personal scheme, it does own the Nectar card which can also be used in Argos, eBay and other shops. You need 200 Nectar points to save up £1 to spend on your card. You need to spend at least £1 to get one Nectar point.
  • Tesco: Tesco Clubcard has over 17million members in the UK alone. You use it each time you shop and build up points that can be turned into vouchers – 150 points gets you a £1.50 voucher. Here you need to spend £1 in Tesco to get one point.
  • Waitrose: myWaitrose also doesn’t allow you to collect points but instead you’ll get access to free hot drinks, and discounts off certain brands in store.

You can find a slightly better deal if you’re looking for a larger size though.

The Tesco £10 bottle works out as £14.29 per litre and Sainsbury’s and Morrisons are both selling 1L bottles of Malibu on offer for £14, down from its normal price of £20.

All three deals are available online and in store (subject to availablity) and run through to the new year: Tesco’s deal is ending January 2 and Sainsbury’s and Morrisons’ on January 1.

The deal was spotted by a user on hotukdeals where other users also praised Aldi’s coconut rum, Cocobay, which is priced at just £4.99.

Coconut rum can be used to make Piña Colada cocktails, or mixed with cola or pineapple juice.

As always, remember to be Drinkaware.

Aldi is set to slash the cost of its Christmas veggies to just 19p as the annual supermarket price war over the cheapest greens kicks off.

Tesco has explained why it has rationing limits on certain products after the supermarket confirmed it’s started stockpiling in case of Brexit shortages.
