A lot of people pick based on the design or what the top prize is – often choosing the one with the jackpot in big bold letters.

But with some costing up to £5, you’ll want to know if you’re money is being wasted.

We spoke to Camelot to find out which £1 scratchies have the best chances of winning – and explain your chances of winning big.

£100,000 Green Doubler

This scratchcard offers 21 different prize tiers and there are three top prizes of £100,000 left.

The odds of winning any prize is one in 4.34 – though this could be a small prize of just a pound or two.

And your estimated odds of winning the top prize are 1 in 6,483,623.

£100,000 Red 

This scratchcard also offers a top prize of £100,000.

There are 27 different prize tiers, ranging from £1 to the huge jackpot.

Your odds of winning at least some money back are one in 4.26, which means you have a slightly better chance than the Green Doubler.

While the chances of winning one of the top prizes are 1 in 5,676,440.

There are nine top prizes of £100,000 left.

Gem Smash 

Gem Smash offers a top prize of £10,000, of which there are six left.

There are eight different prize tiers as follows: £1, £2, £5, £10, £20, £40, £100 and £10,000.

The odds of winning any prize is 1 in 4.32, while the odds of winning one of the top prizes is 4,062,390.

Money Tree Multiplier 

The top prize on the Money Tree Multiplier is also £10,000.

There are 25 different prize tiers with this scratchcard, ranging from the smallest amount of £1, a mid-tier amount of £100, all the way to the jackpot.

The odds of making a return on this £1 scratchcard is 1 in 4.18.

Of course, your chances will shrink significantly if you want to bag the top prize – you will have just a one in 1,948,392 chance.

But this is the highest odds of winning for winning the top prize currently.

Hot Money

The Hot Money scratchcard offers the smallest jackpot, but at £5,000 it’s still not to be sniffed at.

There is a 1 in 4.42 overall chance of winning a Prize on each Scratchcard in this Game.

With 16 different prize tiers, you could win £1, £2, £5, £10, £20, £40, £100, £200 and £5,000.

There are just two jackpots of £5,000 left, so your odds of winning one of the top prizes are 1 in 2,056,320.

£100,000 Tripler Purple

There is a 1 in 4.26 overall chance of winning a Prize on each scratchcard in this game.

With 22 different prize tiers, you could bag yourself a prize of £1, £2, £3, £5, £6, £9, £10, £20, £30, £60, £90, £100, £1,000, £5,000 and £100,000.

If you want to bag a top prize, your odds of winning shrink to one in 7,059,180 – the lowest odds of these £1 scratchcards.
