Amazon reveals ‘easiest way’ to use Fire TV Stick and it can save a lot of time scrolling but it’s the noisiest option

AMAZON has revealed one of the “easiest ways” to use your Fire TV Stick and you may be doing it wrong.

The technique could save you time scrolling as it’s a more precise way to find what you’re looking for.

“One of the easiest ways to use the Fire TV interface is through Alexa.

“Simply press and hold the Alexa button on the remote and say, “Alexa” followed by what you want it to do,” the tech giant explains on its website.

It also added some examples of useful phrases to say.

“For example, “Alexa, launch Prime Video” and your Fire TV Stick will automatically open the app for you.

“Or, you can say “Alexa, show me popular comedies” and your Fire TV Stick will pull up a list of recommended comedy movies and shows,” Amazon continued.

Using Alexa via your voice remote can depend on which device you have.

Generally, you should hold down the Alexa button, which is the blue button with a white circular symbol.

Alternatively, you may need to hold down a black button with a microphone symbol.

It’s possible to pause, play, resume, stop, and fast forward using voice commands.

You can also use it to rewind for a precise amount of time.

If using voice commands isn’t for you, there are other ways to navigate on your Fire TV Stick device.

You can use your remote in the regular fashion or you can turn your smartphone into a remote.

“If you prefer a touch screen, it’s a great alternative to the remote or Alexa,” Amazon says.

Using your smartphone as a remote has great advantages, such as using your keyboard to type out move titles.

To use your phone as a remote, you’ll need to download the Fire TV Stick app.

Make sure to connect your mobile device to the same Wi-Fi network as your Fire TV device.

Open the Fire TV app on your mobile device and select an available device on the screen.

Next, follow the onscreen prompts to set up your new remote.
