TOY retailer The Entertainer has said it will temporarily close seven of its shops in England due to the coronavirus lockdown.

The rest of the chain will be open for click and collect, so customers need not worry if they are planning on doing some early Christmas shopping.

All non-essential shops across the country are about to close their doors as England gears up for another second lockdown.

The list of shops that are to close over the next four weeks is:

  • Liverpool St. John
  • Romford Mercury
  • Bristol Galleries
  • Bromley the Glades Upper Mall
  • Stevenage
  • Huddersfield
  • Bolton

The Entertainer has suggested nearby alternatives customers can click and collect from for four of the stores. These include: Liverpool One, Romford Brewery, Bristol Cabot Circus or Bromley the Glades Lower Mall.

The toy shop has a total of 148 shops in England, 141 of which will be available for click and collect only between 5 November and 2 December.

It also said it would be extending opening hours for the final day before lockdown, alongside John Lewis, Ikea, Currys, PC World and M&S.

The second lockdown will see gyms, non-essential retailers and bars shut.

Pubs and restaurants will also not be allowed to stay open, although takeaway food is allowed.
