IF you’ve just discovered the Fallout series thanks to the excellent show on Amazon Prime, you might be tempted to play the game.
Looking up the most recent Fallout game you’ll find Fallout 76, and while it has received improvements over the last few years, it’s not the best starting point to the series.

The latest release focuses on the multiplayer aspect of the game and doesn’t have a strong story like the TV show.
Fallout has seen numerous changes as the series has progressed starting with top down pixel art.
It is harder for new fans to see the charm of these older games, so we recommend starting your Fallout gaming journey somewhere in the middle.

You play as a courier who has had their package stolen and been left for dead, as you seek to get back the lost goods.
Set in an open world, it is up to you where to travel and what side stories you will find.
The joy in playing Fallout is all in the side content as you will find different factions just like the TV show.

We don’t recommend the PS Plus version as it is streaming only, and the PlayStation version suffers from technical issues.
It plays well on Xbox though, while the output on Steam will depend on your PC.
