When she said she was a fan of the £2.50 Minky cloth for cleaning surfaces, they sold out in under six weeks.

Brands like The Pink Stuff and Zoflora have also become household names since the cleaning guru, whose full name is Sophie Hinchliffe, 33, claimed they were favourites in her cleaning kit.

But what else does she use and how effective are these products?

Mum-of-three Lynsey Hope, 41, agreed to put some of Mrs Hinch’s favourite products to the test.

Here she shares her review and marks each one out of five:

Lynsey says: “Mrs Hinch has hailed this one of her ‘hero’ products, but does it live up to all the hype?

“I was excited to find out. This ‘miracle’ cleaning paste can be used for cleaning dirt, grime and stains of everything from saucepans and cooker tops, sinks, barbecues, showers, ceramic tiles, garden furniture and glass.

“The list is endless, so it’s a great all-rounder to have in the cupboard.

“Its makers say it ‘makes cleaning fun’, and whilst I’m not sure I agree, it did do a good job.

“The paste itself is actually pink, you apply with a soft cloth or sponge, gently rub on to the surface and rinse it off with clean, warm water.

“It had a fruity scent that reminded me of berry yoghurt and it didn’t have the harsh chemical smell of many other cleaners.

“I used it on my oven and to clean up in between tiles in my shower and it did an amazing job – the grout came up like new.

“However, this is not a ‘spray on and leave it’ type paste.

“It takes quite a lot of elbow grease to get areas clean but I loved the results.”

Lynsey says: “I live in a hard water area and the limescale build-up can be severe.

“I haven’t found anything else that works as well.

“It’s great for getting limescale off taps and the shower in particular and it doesn’t take too much scraping and scrubbing.

“There was no streaking or residue left afterwards and the spray nozzle works really well, unlike some others that bust before you have finished the bottle.”

“I also used it to mop floors, clean out my bins and wipe down sinks.

“It smelt lovely and was a great multi-purpose, all-round product.

“I’d recommend this and can see why it’s a favourite of Mrs H.”

“Easy as pie and the fragrance  – I tried Thai Orchid and Passionfruit – is lovely and lingers for ages.

“I don’t have pets but still found it useful for freshening up carpets and getting rid of stains.

“I’m currently potty training a two-year-old and this worked wonders on little accidents.

“It dries quickly and is easy to use. I’ll never be without a can now!”

Lynsey says: “What I love about this is the versatility, you can put it in the sink with a bit of water and let it drain away, or you can wash your floors with it and it has a lovely floral, citrussy smell.

“It does smell quite strong when you first open the bottle but it’s lovely once diluted.

“It’s quite pricey but the bottle is huge and you don’t need much – a little goes a long way – so it lasted quite a while.

“For cleaning, it was definitely one of the best I’ve ever tried.”

Lynsey says: “A lovely fresh smell, this Harpic did a great job and if you shop around you can get some good deals.

“I found it for just £1.25 at Wilko.

“Personally, I’ve used Harpic Power Plus before and thought that was better at getting rid of tough stains in the loo.

“This definitely smelt better though and it lingered, making the bathroom smell nice for longer.”

Lynsey says: “There is some mould in my bathroom I didn’t think I’d ever get rid of, but after seeing Mrs Hinch has used it, I thought it was worth a try for £1.25.

“After a few minutes, it had made a huge difference and most of the black was gone.

“You barely even have to rub at it.

“My only complaint is that it’s so powerful, so while it was incredibly effective, I found the smell quite overwhelming and had to open windows to dilute the smell.

“For that reason, I’d only use now and again on tough mould.”

“She even sticks them inside cardboard toilet tubes to keep her loo roll smelling nice.

“They did smell nice but I thought I had to use quite a lot to notice the scent.

“I thought they were a bit of a luxury in current times.”

Lynsey says: “Mrs Hinch caused a frenzy when she told her millions of followers that these ‘Minky’ cleaning pads were one of her secret weapons for cleaning surfaces in the kitchen and bathroom.

“Personally, I’m not sure they’re worth all the fuss.

“They are quite expensive and I’ve noticed that lots of supermarkets are doing own-brand copycat versions, which to me seemed just as good.

“They did wash up well, but I’m still not sure how long they’ll last.”
