The new lockdown has been put in place to stop the surging cases of coronavirus and is expected to last four weeks, until December 2.

As part of the rules, shops are allowed to stay open if they’re classed as an “essential” retailer – so if they sell important items such as food, medicines and toiletries.

We explain which stores you can still visit in England – Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland have separate coronavirus restrictions in place.

As well as the below list, businesses including supermarkets, pharmacies and banks can remain open – see the full list below.

B&M

B&M remains open during the second coronavirus lockdown.

You can find your nearest shop, including all the latest opening hours, by using the B&M store finder tool.

During the last lockdown, B&M temporarily closed 49 of its stores but these have since reopened.

B&M, which has almost 700 shops across the UK, told The Sun it won’t be closing any stores during this lockdown.

Shoppers can’t order from the retailer online, and customers are being reminded to only visit stores for essential products.
