The book and stationary seller stocks electronics and gifts in its online store, making it a sensible sale to browse again this November.

When is Black Friday 2020?

Black Friday 2020 is November 27 this year, with Cyber Monday folloing on November 30.

Black Friday always falls the day after the American holiday Thankgiving – the fourth Thursdy of the month.

Some retailers will kick off their sales days, a week, or even two weeks early, while WH Smith waited until the day before Black Friday last year.

When is Cyber Monday and will Goldsmiths be taking part?

Cyber Monday began as the online-only version of Black Friday, taking place the following Monday—which this year is November 30.

It’s now a massive event equal to, if not, bigger than Black Friday itself. Most retailers taking part in Black Friday will definitely offer deals on Cyber Monday too, so you can expect Goldsmiths to do the same.

What to expect from WHSmith’s Black Friday offers

WH Smith has yet to confirm that it will take part in this year’s Black Friday event, but it does have a static page live on its website.

We would expect the retailer to take part, and to offer discounts similar to those of last year.

That could mean savings on seasonal gifting and books, as well as discounts on the retailer’s electronics category.

Buy-one-get one half-price offers were a feature last year, as were vouchers on specific spends.

What was in WHSmith’s Black Friday sale last year?

Last year shoppers at WHSmith could receive a free £5 voucher if they spent £30 online, and a £10 voucher if they spent £50 online over the 2019 Black Friday weekend (November 29 to December 2).

All shoppers had to do to claim the offer was use the code Black19 at checkout.

As well as its voucher offers, Smiths had an up to 80 per cent off sale on Christmas gifting books, as well as buy one get one half price on Christmas gifts and buy one get one free on photo albums and frames.

We even saw electronics being discunted by the retailer, with savings on Apple Airpods.

Does WHSmith offer any other discounts?

WH Smith has been known to offer student discounts through sites like Student Beans and Save the student, but it doesn’t offer any direct discounts.

The retailer doesn’t offer any discount for NHS workers, except in hospital stores (20 per cent).

But it is posible to find WH Smith discounts and vouchers codes online, at sites like The Sun Vouchers.

Check for vouchers around Black Friday to see if you can get any specific savings or deals during the sale event.
